TBS Shares Exclusive ‘American Dad: Frantastic Voyage’ Clip

It’s back! The first all-new episode of Season 18 – Part 2 airs this Monday, September 4; the hugely popular animated comedy, created by Seth MacFarlane, Mike Barker, and Matt Weitzman, about ultra-patriotic CIA agent Stan Smith and his unconventional family, returns with more absurd hilarity.

TBS has shared an exclusive clip with AWN to fan even more FAN excitement for the upcoming return of the ever so popular (and funny!) animated series American Dad Season 18 (part 2) – coming to the network on Monday, September 4 at 10:00 pm ET/PT. In Monday’s episode, “Frantastic Voyage,” when Stan goes too far to keep his work friend away from Francine, she is forced to save her new ‘little’ friend.”

Created by Seth MacFarlane, Mike Barker, and Matt Weitzman, the animated comedy tells the story of Stan Smith (MacFarlane), an ultra-patriotic CIA agent. New episodes will feature special guests, including Shaggy; Eliza Coupe; Mark McKinney; Debra Wilson; John Cho; Jane Lynch; and Breckin Meyer.

Adult Swim will be re-airing the first half of Season 18 every Wednesday at 11 pm and re-airing new episodes nine days after they air on TBS. In addition, episodes stream on Hulu the day after airing on TBS.

American Dad! centers on Smith and the misadventures of his unconventional family in Langley Falls, VA. Stan applies the same drastic measures used in his job at the CIA to his home life, where Stan’s blissfully unaware wife, Francine (Wendy Schaal), has an unfaltering loyalty that makes her blind to his unabashed arrogance. His left-wing activist daughter Hayley (Rachael MacFarlane), however, doesn’t let him off so easily and knows just how to push her father’s buttons, unlike her dopey, well-intentioned husband Jeff (Jeff Fischer), who doesn’t know much of anything. Son Steve (Scott Grimes) is a geeky yet confident kid who spends his time playing video games and obsessing about the opposite sex. The Smith cabinet is rounded out by two rather unconventional members: Roger (MacFarlane), a sassy, sarcastic, and routinely inappropriate space alien, and Klaus (Dee Bradley Baker), an attention-starved goldfish with the brain of a German Olympic skier.

The animated comedy from 20th Television Animation is executive produced by co-showrunner Brian Boyle along with MacFarlane and Weitzman.

Guest stars in “Frantastic Voyage” include Paget Brewster as Diane; Eliza Coupe as Cara; Mike Henry as Jackson; David Koechner as Dick; Phill Lewis as Duper; Jay Pharoah as Dwayne Johnson, Josh Robert Thompson as Brock, and Morgan Freeman; André Sogliuzzo as the Bouncer; Patrick Stewart as Bullock; and Debra Wilson as Sharon.
